  1. nice nice nice is fox sports broadcasting every ACL Match? And can i watch it if im in europe?

    thx 4 upload

  2. The J league teams are just better at attacking. They have some really great players. Aussie teams appear to be really slow.

  3. Once again, Melbourne Victory have embarrassed themselves!
It’s a good thing Adelaide United can salvage the A-league’s pride because Melbourne sure as hell aren’t going to!

    FUCK OFF MELBOURNE!!!!

    UNITED TIL I DIE!!!!

  4. @2009benma … PART 2 … Why can the Aussie media just for once give credit to the non-Victorian states and be proud of that and just brag about that for the rest of the year until the next club takes ranks? Be proud of all Aussies, not just MV! We are one country … are we not? Or is it just Victoria, and the rest?

  5. @2009benma I know you’re having a dig at me, but let’s quantify it. Sydney won the A-League at all level in 2010. Then why not just focus the whole conversation, advertisement, statements, papers, on that fact – as they did when MV won. But instead, a lot of media speak is on MV and how unlucky they were, and how unlucky they were to try and play on two fronts … it goes on. AND … The AU are kicking butt on the ACL front, but still, the focus is on MV. Why?Why not on The AU on theworld stage?

  6. @Culminatr lol i think all the commentators are pretty bad tbh, and from whenever i watch the games on foxtel it always seems to me and to many other people that they are all hyping up sydney and putting down the rest..its a CONSPIRACY

  7. This is a very hypocritical statement from one who believed Sydney “cheated” to win the 2009/10 A-League grand final. So now you know how it feels to lose a grand final, and having to complain of “cheats”.

  8. FCMelbVictory, you’re right. You lost to Kawasaki … an unknown … who kicked your arse 4-0. I just thought it may have been the current reigning ACL Champions. But … oh wait … that’s right … we played them … and we kicked “their” arse. They would have scored double figures against MV if they had played them.

  9. FCMelbVictory … when has MV beaten the AU in a GF with 11 players against 11 players? It’s always been 12 players against 10 players.

  10. PART 2 … We all like to win, even non-Victorians. But they have to stop their biases. You have no idea how irritating they are to listen to on Fox when you are a non-Victorian. To see it from ‘one’ perspective is disrespectful. They need to be neutral. Can you tell what team an English commentator favours? No way. They get excited and celebrate all wins. And all wins are talked about over and over again. We are important too! Hence why non-Victorians vote with their feet!

  11. 2009benma, the Aussie World Football is on no front page in any paper in Australia. The Aussie Rules and Rugby Football are putting a lid on it … but it won’t last. World Football is inevitable to take over in Australia. My point is the A-League organisers and commentators. They need to think bigger and stop thinking about money. The money is in Melbourne, we know, but here is a chance to do something for Australia, so they should butt out and let the A-League run on merit. … PART 1

  12. @Culminatr melbourne victory are never on the front page of anything in melbourne so i dont know what you are talking about, not our fault we make the most money so those ffa sydney biased assholes want to take it all, i would love to see the competition be bigger, but its up to the other clubs to become better by getting bigger crowds by promoting and getting more members, the ffa are a bunch of mugs

  13. No we didn’t lose to Pohang 4-0. We lost to Kawasaki. And I am not joining the Heart because I am not a bandwagoner. I am a Victory supporter, I am going to be a Victory supporter for the rest of my life mate. And those intended puns were absolutely horrible.

  14. Ummm yes you do have the reigning champions from LAST YEAR. They do not have exactly the same squad now do they? So they are not as strong as they were last year. Also if you still believe Melbourne Victory cheated to win the Grand Final last year you seriously need to get a life….

  15. @Culminatr ((((((((( What’s that! ((((((((((
That’s my knees shaking at the Heart felt moment! Let’s make certain we don’t have a lonely heart!

  16. @FCMelbVictory MV just lost to Pohang Steelers 4-0. Join the Melbourne Hearts. I can’t wait to see your Heart Attacks! When you lose, we can see your Broken Heartedness. Defence, and expose your Heart Arrest. Draw, and we see that your Half Hearted. Heart is a very scarey image. We can all be polite and say, best of luck Sweet Heart.

  17. on another point! one thing ive noticed is that when melbourne lose, its like the worst thing ever! like the club needed to win or its going under and never to return. Esp on the melb forum there is a lot of ‘doomsday’ attitude. Heart break is part of the game, im still devastated after the final but i know there is always next season… plus its a world cup year! there is always more football. thats why i love this sport. good night.

  18. haha this thread got heavy.. go victory i still love you! we will bounce back as always and become even better. We are the best club in australia, id say the world but im bias.

It’s true tho, the salary cap will continue to hold us back as a league. I think its important till all clubs can come up with more money so there isnt 1 or 2 teams winning every year. unless it’s melbourne, then thats fine, go ahead.

    go MV!

  19. @2009benma You need to learn to read, and comprehend. Non-Victorians don’t hate Victoria or Melbourne. We are proud of you. You symbolise hope and independence for all of Australia (especially with the Eureka Stockade kick arse attitude). Us non-Victorians can’t stand the Melbourne Centric A-League competition (which is a unique and biased organisation that happens to be in Melbourne and are too busy chasing the dollars and missing the bigger picture of uniting Australia through sport).

  20. @FCMelbVictory I’m betting you as stupid looking as what you sound. Pohang Steelers are the reigning ACL Champions 2009 (as of November, 4 months ago). The AU kicked their arse. We are playing the harder table because MV cheated the finals win against the AU in 2008 and hence The AU came second … hence why they’re playing the harder table. The Ozone Depletion around Melbourne is interfering with your Neuron development …. hence your TARDness. I’m hoping for your sake there is a cure soon.

  21. @Culminatr we dont care if you dont like us,because we know we are better than your pissant town and the rest of australia, just let us become our own country, our economy is more than strong enough and we have more than enough people to survive, fuck you rest of australia

  22. Ok, fair point. But still, MV have known the timetable for the ACL for a long time now and needed to expect that this could happen. Statistically Hiroshima aren’t doing well but last night at Hindmarsh they put on a hell of a game, once again proving that sometimes statistics don’t do justice.

It just seems that when this happened to Adelaide, everybody told us we were having a whinge, now you know what its like. I will support MV, I support any Aus team in the ACL. Please do the same for us.

  23. Yeah, and how far apart was the A-League and AFC Grand Finals? And I did not say that Adelaide’s group was “easy”. If you read my comment properly you would realise that I said it is “easier than Melburne’s”. We have 3 teams who are extremely hard, of course Pohang and Shandong are as well, but you have Hiroshima in your group.
